Psychotherapists In Mississauga

At our Mississauga location, we pride ourselves in having a diverse and experienced group of psychotherapists. Our therapy team includes social workers and registered psychotherapists who have experience working with kids, couples, families, individuals, and people belonging to marginalized communities. The diversity in our team allows us to provide modern evidence-based psychotherapy all while approaching your challenges from a culturally sensitive and trauma informed approach. No two individuals are the same and that's why we truly believe in customizing treatments based on your unique issues and challenges. We don't do "cookie-cutter" therapy.

Ultimately, we aim to connect you with a therapist that understands your problems the best. Since the therapist-client connection is one of the most important factors in effective psychotherapy, we even provide you with the option to have a free consultation with as many therapists on our team as you would like before booking your first full session.

Our entire clinics goal is to help YOU succeed!

Our clinic is in Cooksville, Mississauga, at 3024 Hurontario St #206, Mississauga, ON L5B 4M4. We are just down the street from Square One shopping center. We offer in-person and online psychotherapy appointments. Our therapists can provide in-person therapy in Mississauga or via phone and video - the choice is yours!

Are the services provided by your Mississauga therapists covered by insurance?

Our Mississauga therapy team comprises Registered Social Workers (RSW) and Registered Psychotherapist (RP). If you have coverage for either of these service providers, our service fees may be covered by your extended health care benefits. Depending on your coverage, we may also have the option to directly bill your insurance, which could reduce your out-of-pocket costs. At this time, OHIP insurance/health cards are not accepted.

Is psychotherapy and counselling the same thing?

No. In Ontario, psychotherapy is defined as treating an individual’s serious disorder of thought, cognition, mood, emotional regulation, perception or memory that may seriously impair the individual’s judgement, insight, behaviour, communication or social functioning, using psychotherapy techniques delivered through a therapeutic relationship. The definition of counselling is broader than psychotherapy and includes providing information, advice-giving, encouragement and instruction. Psychotherapy in Ontario can only be provided by regulated and licensed mental health professionals such as social workers, psychotherapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, etc.
